Swanson Reservoir State Recreation Area is the largest of four recreation areas in the southwest part of the state. Located near Trenton, Swanson consists of a 4,974 acre lake and 3,957 acres of land. The area offers fishing, boating, camping, concessions and hunting in season among other activities.
Recreation: Boating, water sports, hunting, and fishing. A day beach with no lifeguard on duty. Sand volleyball court and picnic shelters. Facilities: 59 campsites with 50 amp capabilities, 3 showerhouse/modern restrooms. 20 designated basic sites with vault toilets. 3 boat ramps and 2 fish cleaning stations. Nearby Attractions: Massacre Canyon historical monument Alerts and Important Information Park entry permit required on all vehicles. No livestock allowed. All pets must be on a leash no longer than 6'. No golf carts/ATV's.
